I have decided to use Monsoon as my work experience placement as I have worked there since August and I have definitely completed my 120 hours with them. I have just had to hand my notice in to them because I need more hours and basically more pay. I am very sad to leave them but I know that this is the right decision for me at this time in my life. I have taken a position working for Hallett Retail. They provide concessions within New Look, Dorothy Perkins and other stores. I will be a concession manager for them and will look after the concession store in Durham. I am looking forward to it being a new challenge and a chance to learn something new and develop myself further.
I also went for an interview for a work placement within John Lewis and they said that they would take me on any time for a placement so that would be fantastic. Unfortunately that clashes with my new position so I can't accept the offer but I am pleased that it came about. They seem like a really well run company and give a lot of respect to their employees which is a large element of why they are so successful.
I also had to pull out of the theatre production work experience placement because it is too much for me to do especially with this new job and I am also doing an outfit for Miss Newcastle so that is enough I think!!!
Also my riend has asked me to help out and do some bridesmaid dresses for her wedding in March next year. Five dresses to be precise!! Should be great fun though.
Writing my blog just now has really helped me to reflect on the fact that I'm really doing ok. I just doubt myself too much and have to learn to trust my own judgement more!
